Our stay at the High Street Guest House was a treat. Apartment B, with its adorable art studio and tasteful crystal decorations, offered us a unique and cozy atmosphere. The attention to detail and the warm hospitality of the hosts made it a truly memorable experience. The pet-friendly policy was a huge plus, ensuring that our canine companion could accompany us everywhere we went.

DOG-Friendly dining scene:

Marion Hose Bar

Amidst our exploration of Jim Thorpe’s eclectic dining scene, our first stop was the Marion Hose Bar. It was beautiful day and the owner allowed us to arrive early and park in our assigned parking spot. While we waited for our apartment to be cleaned, we walked down Broadway looking for an outdoor lunch spot. Housed in a historic building that once served as a fire department, this unique restaurant captured our attention with its vibrant ambiance, delicious food, and a beautiful outdoor patio! We indulged in their refreshing and expertly crafted cocktails, enjoying the lively ambiance and the friendly service.

Notch 8

Notch 8, won us over with its exquisite drink selection. We stopped here for an after dinner drink. The Campfire Old Fashioned, with its smoky and rich flavors, proved to be an absolute delight. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploration. An added bonus: the pup was allowed inside!

Muggles Mug

In our whimsical adventures through Jim Thorpe, we stumbled upon a truly enchanting spot: Muggles Mug, a Harry Potter-themed coffee shop! Nestled in the heart of town, this bewitching establishment was a dream come true for Potterheads. Upon entering, we were transported into the world of Harry Potter, surrounded by spellbinding decor and charming nods to the beloved series.

Myst

Undoubtedly, when it came to satisfying our sushi cravings, Myst proved to be the ideal destination. With its inviting outdoor seating, we savored delicious rolls and other Japanese delicacies amidst a serene backdrop.

Union Publick House (“the only dive bar in Jim Thorpe”)

We stopped by the Union Publick House after our hike to Glen Onoko Falls. It was another beautiful day and we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the weather. We decided to treat ourselves to a well-deserved brunch. The $3 mimosas were a fantastic deal, and the menu offered a wide array of options. From the delectable wings to the brunch fare, everything was on point. Best of all, our furry friend was welcome here too, making it an inclusive experience for all of us.

Nature’s Splendor:

Glen Onoko Overlook Trail and Waterfalls

One cannot visit Jim Thorpe without exploring the breathtaking Glen Onoko Trail. This trail took us on a mesmerizing journey through verdant forests and along the rushing Lehigh River.
