Exploring Williamsport, PA: A Dog-Friendly Weekend Getaway

When the daily grind starts to wear you down, there’s nothing like a weekend escape – especially when your furry friend gets to tag along. That’s exactly what we did when we packed up the car and headed for Williamsport, PA, just a short two-hour drive from the Baltimore area. Our destination? A weekend filled with dog-friendly adventures and relaxation.

Day 1: Unwinding with Furry Friends

Hotel

We kicked off our weekend by checking into the pet-friendly Residence Inn, our cozy home away from home for the next couple of days. After settling in, we wasted no time in starting to explore this charming town.

Brewery

Our first stop? New Trail Brewery, a haven for craft beer lovers and their four-legged companions. With a spacious outdoor area and a food truck nearby, it was the perfect spot to enjoy a cold brew while our pup made some new furry friends.

Dining

As the sun began to set, we took a leisurely stroll to Pine Square, a bustling area filled with dining options. Our dinner destination for the evening was the Brickyard Restaurant and Alehouse, where we dined on delicious fare and soaked in the lively atmosphere.

Day 2: Outdoor Adventures and Scenic Views

Hiking

With the sun rising on a new day, we were eager to explore more of what Williamsport had to offer. After a hearty hotel breakfast, we set off on foot to the nearby Susquehanna River Trail, a picturesque path that winds its way along the river. Our pup couldn’t have been happier as we walked, taking in the sights and sounds of nature.

Feeling invigorated by our morning walk, we hopped back in the car and drove out to the Golden Eagle Trail and Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. The stunning vistas took our breath away, and we spent hours exploring the rugged terrain, our loyal companion by our side every step of the way. After our hike, we stopped at Mountain Top Provisions. The outdoor bar was the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

DINING

Back at the hotel, we freshened up before heading out for dinner once again. This time, we opted to try the Stonehouse Wood Fire Pizza at Pine Square. With our pup lounging at our feet, we savored each bite of delicious pizza as we listened to live music.

To cap off our weekend adventure, we couldn’t resist indulging in a sweet treat from Sprinkled Sweet.

In Conclusion

Our weekend getaway to Williamsport was everything we had hoped for and more. From dog-friendly breweries to scenic trails and delicious dining options, it was the perfect retreat for both us and our furry friend. Until next time, Williamsport!
